Our issues are God’s issue.
Hello ministry workers. Let me let you in on a little secret. While you are wrestling with your personal issues the work of the ministry must go on.
What’s an issue?
An issue is any condition, or attitude or circumstance that robs us or keeps us from the life that God has intended us to have.
Our issues are those problems and challenge that happen to us that try and tell us that we’re not fit for kingdom use and we’re disqualified for kingdom living.
Many mighty people in the text were used of God, EVEN WITH THEIR ISSUES.
Paul had issues. He had a jacked up past.
(He was a murderer. He was a proud man and he had a real short fuse.)
Moses wasn’t the one to volunteer to answer a lot of questions in class. (He stuttered.)
Many believe that his stuttering came as a result of him internalizing his murder of a Hebrew and burying him in the sand.
(Psychologically it’s tough living with something that you have done and you know folk know about it.)
David after he whooped the giant had an affair with a woman and got her pregnant and had her
husband killed.
Hosea’s wife was a prostitute and he had to preach all over town and everybody knew about his home situation.
Miriam was a gossip and Aaron a whimp. Jeremiah dealt with depression and wanted to quit. Elijah was suicidal. Noah love himself some Hennesey. (I mean wine.)
Martha worried too much.
Peter (He had a cussing issue. Carried a concealed weapon without permit.) Caught a case.
If you only looked a the issues that these people
had there is no way you would think that the Lord could use them the way he did.
But God has a way of using folk that we think are absolutely unusable.
Satan magnifies your issues and says you’re not
worthy.
Jesus magnifies himself and You’re not but I
AM.
I AM meaning whatever you need him to be without the I AM.
I AM your strength. I AM your help. I AM whatever you need me to be, saith the Lord.
So our issues (is) God’s issue. He chose us we didn’t choose him and He knew everything about us.
Don’t you ever forget that and don’t let what you’re wrestling with pin you. Get up from there and try it again and again and again. God’s got you.
Bishop
Brethren, don’t let the devil shut your mouth. Preach even with your issues.
Bishop you are so right Sir, we all have issues, but our issues should never stop us from doing ministry. We must repent and keep if moving in God’s direction. I’m so glad that God’s anointing is stronger than my issues. And that God is a loving and forgiving God. And we must forgive others that wrong us as well. Love you must
