There is no way that any “ONE” voice is going to capture all of our hearts, minds and imaginations and bring clarity and peace to us the citizens of the USA right now. Your favorite politician, entertainer, news anchor, nor your favorite preacher has “ONE” word that can reduce the heart rate of so many Americans who have gone into panic mode because of the current election results.
There are so many voices that are saying so many different things. These voices are all “legit…“. They emanate from people whose life experiences have shaped their view on how life ought to be lived. People see life and feel some kind of way based on their race, their creed, their color, their length of days, their brevity of days, their education and their lack of education. People have had experiences, both good and bad and this causes whole people groups to see the same thing relatively different. (If you were to ask Pharaoh how things are going he’ll tell you, “just fine”, ask the Hebrew slaves and you’ll get a different story.)
When people speak publicly by means of social media or network nightly news on matters like this one there are people who are sitting by and they are waiting on someone to perfectly articulate what they are “feeling” and thinking for them. They want someone to put into words what they can’t put into words themselves. Sometimes someone would hit the nail on the head and actually bring insight and instruction and a balance that calms fears and takes away some of the angst that is inherent when things appear to be “out of control.”
This situation is different. Search all you will. You will not find “ONE” voice that will answer everybody’s dilemma. With this said, I stopped listening to the voice of privileged millennials and the nightly political pundits. I stopped listening to the opinionated pastors who are more black than they are Christians. I stopped listening to bigots posing as spokesmen for God. I stopped listening to the voices of Anarchy and derision. I found the “ONE” voice that we all can hear and understand that will not lead us astray or stroke our pain.
Matthew 11:28-29 (KJV) 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
