Forgive Me. I’m Sorry.

Forgive me. (I’m sorry)

Have you ever had an episode, a season in your life that you said to God, Lord can I have a chance to do that over again? I’m talking about times where you just blew it. You knew you didn’t handle things righteously. You sinned big time. You weren’t operating in faith. You maybe hurt someone dearly. You were just not at your spiritual best.

I was sitting here alone in prayer thinking about some of these times in my own life and I said, Lord, if I could only have another chance to do things differently I would.

The Lord literally arrested me and pointed out to me that we don’t get another chance to “do it over” when we mess up. We do though get a chance to learn from our mistakes, learn from our sins, lack of faith, etc. We can ask God for forgiveness. We can then accept His forgiveness and by faith try not to make the same mistakes again.

I hope you just heard me. Our failures are life lessons that #1 reveal to us that we are not God, (we’re humans) and #2 our failures in life are often what God uses for moments like this. When you’re alone praying and thinking about your life. Our past failures will keep us broken, humble and prayerful.

Forgiveness is so powerful. I’ve also learned that forgiveness is not applied until it’s asked for. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them for they no not what they do.” So I say to you, forgive those who have trespassed against you and then ask those that you have offended, hurt, sinned against and sinned with to forgive you.

Someone may be waiting for us to utter the most powerful two word phrase that exists, “Forgive me”. Stop for a moment, get alone, reflect over your life and see if there is someone that needs to hear YOU say, Forgive me. I’m sorry.

“STOP WAITING TO HEAR SOMEONE SAY FORGIVE ME AND
OFFER IT YOURSELF.”
